Some thoughts...

Another Spring - y wall hanger I did for fun... I am sort of stuck on birds and bird's nests this year.... it reminds me of how my Father in Heaven even takes note of the little birds when they fall from their nests..... nothing escapes His notice! Some days I get to looking around me and thinking about all the wonders He has created..... and my finite mind just can't take it all in..... He is so amazing.... everything He made is beautiful and has a purpose! No wonder He looked at what He had made during the Creation and "saw that it was good"!

And to think that He cares about you and me.... OH! I never ever want to lose the wonder of it... Some days when I'm praying, it hits me..... "I am actually talking to the God of the Universe.... the Creator of all..... the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.... and He is listening to me! Wow!"

What a Good, Kind, Loving and Merciful Savior He is........

I'm just sharing some thoughts with you this morning..... thank you for taking the time to read them, dear friend of my heart......

Well, I have a dentist appointment later today, (definitely not on my list of fun things to do, because my jaws always hurt from opening wide..... but I do have a great dentist! so that helps)) and then my Sister and I are supposed to go and pet sit this evening through the weekend.... so I will get lots of hugs and kisses from the cute pupster Jazz, and the kitty Alex.... I hope you have a great weekend!

It was a good day...

I enjoyed making this Valentine's hanging sign for a friend, today....

How was your Saturday? Mine was a good day.... I did several things, went to the library, shopped with my sister, washed my car, crafted a bit.... but the best part by far was going to the Church to pray.... How I love God's House! and how precious are the moments spent with Him... there is just nothing like being in the Presence of Jesus.... there aren't any words to describe it, really.... it's Peace, Joy, Happiness, Love.... and so much more! He is my best Friend, my Comforter, my Life!

This past week Habakkuk chapter 3: 17, 18, 19, have been on my mind....

17: "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18: "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19: The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments."

Aren't these scriptures beautiful? They are reminding me that no matter how difficult or how bad things may be, I can still have JOY! Because the LORD God is my strength and He is my salvation! It also reminds me of that old song we used to sing: "the joy of the Lord is my strength" do you remember that old song?? if you do, go ahead and sing a little bit of it! ( I dare ya... Smiles) And let the Lord give you Joy.........

A Pretty "Sign" of Spring

I had this nice, thick square of green and white cardboard, and hated to waste it, or throw it away.....

So I thought, hmmm..... what can I make with it???

So I took a trip to Hobby Lobby and Michaels for some pretty scrapping paper, Prima flowers, and ribbons...... and then added a K and Co butterfly, and some lace that I been saving, into my crafty "pile"..... and got to cutting, glueing, and tying....... and I had fun!

This is the first thing I've done like this.... and I see things I should change if I do another one.... but I have gotten lots of ideas for the future, plus had fun crafting away.....

I think it looks Spring-y, and I just LOVE the bird's nest... don't bird's nests make you think Spring??

Hmmm... wouldn't a Valentine's one be pretty?

A Special Blessing....

I have a little story to share with y'all, today... of how God knows the desires, big and small, of our hearts... and how that, even though it might seem silly or unimportant to anyone else, if it matters to me or you, it matters to Him.... This is also a story about how that God uses special people to bless us... right when we need encouragement the most.....

Did you look at the purse in the picture above?? Isn't it unique?? I saw one just like it in a store many months ago, and lingered, and touched it.... and studied it..... and sighed, and said softly, "Well, Lord, I sure do like this purse, and would love to have it, but I don't have the money to buy it..." and I walked away.... thinking Oh well, that's that! You can't have everything you want, Jen!

But my Father was listening! And He knows the desires of my heart.......

Yesterday Morning, after Sunday A.M. Church, my dear and precious Pastor's Wife, (Whom I love so very much) gave me some things.... she has been sorting through and decluttering like so many of us have in this new year..... and I was excited to "inherit" some of her neat "stuff".... guess what one of the things was that she passed on to me? Yes, you guessed! And it still had the tag on it.....

Isn't Jesus Amazing? Oh my goodness! You see, I have been really worrying and fretting about some things lately.... and this little situation has made me realize yet again How well my Father knows my heart..... and how much He cares about me...... and it has reminded me that I can trust Him with the big and small things in my life.... And I Praise Him for His Tender Care...

And I Praise Him for my dear and wonderful Pastor's Wife, too! What a blessing she is to me!

Handsome Jazz

Here's some pictures of the darling King Charles Spaniel my sister and I pet sit. Isn't he cute? He is very cuddly, which is so wonderful for me, because my heart still misses my own Jazzy....

We had lot of fun last weekend as we took care of this sweet Jazz and his kitty brother Alex. On another note, I am still getting my ACTS together... by that I mean going through and sorting Accumulated Clutter, Things and Stuff.... tee hee! Gonna have another go at it this weekend, Lord willing! While we were pet sitting, Kim and I made a trip to TJ MAXX homegoods store, and I purchased a nifty Lavender shoe caddy that hangs on the door..... this may sound funny, but I decided to keep my collection of body spray and lotions from Bath and Body Works, and Victoria's Secret, in the compartments... (I am ashamed to admit that when I rounded all of the bottles up, I had over fifty) What can I say? I LOVE bath and body products..... and I like being able to mix and match the scents...... at least now they are all organized in the shoe caddy, though, right where I can easily reach them!

Petsitting with Jazz and Alex

Hello, dear ones! My sister and I are petsitting some of our favorite little furry guys this weekend. We are getting lots of love and hugs from Jazz, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Alex, the long haired kitty cat.

We always have such fun with them.... and hopefully, will manage to have a yummy lunch tomorrow, and also visit T.J. Maxx homegoods store, which is something we always look forward to when we are here......

I'm gonna try to get some pics of whatever we do..... I hope your weekend is going well, too!

Getting those Christmas decorations taken down....

(This is the current look on my beloved old, shabby piano... not fancy, just homey!)

I am working my way through getting all the Christmas decorations taken down. Goodness, it's just not as much fun as putting them up, huh? But it is neat to take down the old to make way for the new..... Got all the decor off the piano, and the front porch and door.... now just need to take down the tree tomorrow. Whew!

I did manage to fill up a whole big shopping bag with shoes, the other day.... gonna give those away.... and sold one of the really nice outfits I bought but never wear.....and bagged up quite a pile of books and magazines... took the bag and set it in the nursery at our Church, with a sign that says : "free books and magazines, Please take some". Several ladies have already nabbed some, and whatever is left after a few more church services, I am thinking of donating to Goodwill.... I thought I'd give my sisters - in - the Lord first dibs, though! I hope they enjoy them.....

So, with the Lord's help, I'm working my way through lots of things right now.... trying to become more organized and decluttered in this New Year! As I said before, "I have TOO MUCH STUFF!"

So how is the new year going for you?? Oh my! I hope you all are having a wonderful, happy, joy - filled week..... if not, just remember, you can always tell the Lord about it, ok? He really Cares, and You can give Him every care and need and disappointment in your life........

Turning everything upside down!

This photo of a neat - looking pot in our friend Kathy's yard reminds me of the way things look around here right now, LOL!.... I am "tearing" into one of my new year's goals today..... culling through, getting rid of, and ultimately giving away, too much STUFF! And I must say it feels pretty good! With God's help I am gonna get more organized in 2012......

So here I go, I'm sorting through my shoes right now, have them all spread over the floor, deciding which ones are "keepers" and which ones someone else would get better use from..... then gonna go through some clothes......
