Some "Daily Bread"

If you've ever eaten at Mimi's Cafe, you know the bread is delicious, just like everything else they serve!  Mmmm..... I'd like a piece now, with butter on it......

I've got into the habit of txting scriptures to my friends.... not every day, just sometimes.....I'll pray a bit in the early mornings, and then read God's Word, and, if something really touches me and I feel that special Strength go through me as I read... then Wow! I know I've just got to share it with someone! Several of my friends have been kind enough to return the favor.... and how my soul is blessed when out - of - the - blue...."Bing" there's a scripture on my phone!
To me, coming across an unexpected scripture is like smelling a sudden sweet aroma.  Or having a gentle breeze refresh you on a hot day. Or taking a long drink of cold water or icy sweet tea when you're soooo thirsty on a scorching Summer afternoon... It's like catching a scent or glimpse of HIM...we read the scripture and suddenly, for a moment... we aren't in this world, but near HIM...

Here are a few of the ones I've txted recently:
Isaiah 26:3  "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee."

Isaiah 26:4   "Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength."

Psalm 20:1  "The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;"

Psalm 20:2   "Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;"

Isaiah 54:17  "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."

Isaiah 40:28  "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding."

Isaiah 40:29  "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."

Oh how I Love His Word..... there is nothing like it!!! It Comforts, Strengthens, and imparts Wisdom and Guidance when we need it most... and, it's the road map to our salvation!!  I'm so privileged and thankful to be able to read it for myself.......
