Even More Wedding Decorations
Here's the Bride and Groom's table all decked out in tulle!!! |
My friend Davina and I had such a wonderful time decorating for the wedding rehearsal dinner! I fell in love with those rolls of sparkle tulle from Hobby Lobby.... I used them on everything from the bows I made for each end of the bride and groom's table, to draping a swag of each color, purple, ivory, and green on the lattice, and even for fluffing up the bow I made for the top of the metal "lantern thingie" I bought at Ross.... ( I also stuck a candle ring inside the lantern, added extra ivy and pulled it thru to drape down the sides... and finished it off with a flameless candle)
You know, at first I was totally against using plastic table cloths.... but in order to keep from having to wash, dry, and iron all of the cloth ones in time for the reception, I relented. Now, when I look at the soft pink colored plastic ones we used... I am glad we went with the plastic. It didn't look cheesy at all!!! That soft pink color was so pretty.... and when we lit the tealights on each table.... it was just lovely!
I'm enjoying sharing these photos with you all! I hope you are having fun looking at them!
Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Decor

Hello friends! I have been busy this week, decorating for a wedding rehearsal dinner that is taking place at our Church Friday night. My friend Davina helped me.... and another lady from church helped some, too. We had fun making things pretty!! The Bride loves pink, so I decided to use a variety of pinks, purple, green and white.... The Groom's mother had requested that we do a Special table for the bride and groom, so I made that the focal point. I will be sharing other photos later this weekend....
The bride and groom both said they liked it, so that made it all worthwhile!

A Pretty Gift Tag and Bag
Just sharing photos of the Gift tag and Bag I "Crafted Up" for a friend's shower.... Aren't those sparkley flower buttons neat? Got them at Hobby Lobby and just tied them onto the bow, added feathers, and ta - daa! I had purchased some pretty Harrison Fisher Lady tags from ebay... (a lady named Judy has an ebay store called angelrosedesigns.... if you want some pretty tags, check hers out!) anyway, I added several layers of pretty scrapbooking paper to one of those tags, plus some more glitter, rinestones, ribbon and a pink tassle, and made that the gift tag for the bag.... I figured the receipient could remove it and keep it if she wished......
It was fun!!!! I really enjoyed making something new....
How are you?? Well, I hope! I had to go to the doctor's office today and get another steroid shot.... ** Sigh** I am congested again....but I know that Jesus WILL take care of me!! He ALWAYS does.....
Best Wishes!

Hope in the midst of chaos....
Hello, Precious Friends. Are you, (as I am,) reeling in shock from the events that have taken place within the last month? In Times such as this, I always go to the Holy Bible, which is the Word of God, to make sense of it all....and helps me to have hope in spite of circumstance....
Matt 24:7-8 says:
7:"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8:"All these are the beginning of sorrows."
Luke 21:28 says:
28:"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
My thoughts and prayers are with Boston Mass., Beaumont, Tx., and West, Tx.

Roses and Prayers for Boston
I thought I'd post a photo of our friend Jack's roses... as a sort of token of my thoughts and prayers for the people of Boston. Like all of you, I was shocked and saddened by the news of the terrible act of terrorism that happened at the Boston Marathon....
At times like this I think of Psalm 46:
1: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2: "Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
11: "The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims.... and my hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ..... He is my refuge, my strength, my peace, and my strong tower.....
