"I Know the Master of the Wind"

(Evening photo of sailboats on the bay at Kemah, Texas. Click on it if you'd like, for a better view )

This song is on my heart today.......

"I know the Master of The Wind" by The Hemphills

My boat of life, sails on a troubled sea

whenever there's a wind in my sail

But I have a Friend, Who watches over me

When the storm turns into a gale

I know the Master of the wind

I know the Maker of the rain

He can calm the storm

Make the sun shine again

I know the Master of the Wind

Some times I soar, like an eagle through the sky

Among the peaks my soul can be found

An unexpected storm, may drive me from the heights

It brings me low, but never brings me down
Thank You, Jesus, for being the Master of all the Storms in my life.. You speak sweet peace to my Soul.......

A Lovely Evening........

( These aren't the best pics I've ever taken, but definitely not the worst, either.... haha! I hope they give you a glimpse of what we saw this evening)

This evening, my Mom, sister and I, decided to go have seafood for dinner. We drove to the Kemah Boardwalk, which is well - known and loved in our area, for having lots of good restaurants, as well as several rides and a boardwalk area with old - fashioned, boardwalk - type midway games. There is also a shopping area which features souveniers, A Christmas shop, a ladies' clothing store, as well as shops filled with candles, purses, figurines, etc.

Our favorite place to stop is the Thomas Kincaid Gallery. We go in to intently study those awesome paintings and prints....... and how we dream of owning one someday! They are out of our price range at the moment.... but at least they are there for us to enjoy every time we visit Kemah, right?

Tonight we really enjoyed our yummy fried shrimp, stuffed crab, salad and garlic bread..... and we stopped in for home made type fudge at the Boardwalk fudge shop....... (but don't tell anyone, ok?)

The Kemah Boardwalk is situated right on a Bay that leads into Galveston Bay, which flows into the Gulf of Mexico........ tonight was a gorgeous evening! We sat for a while near the water and just let the breeze ruffle our hair, talked, and watched the sailboats go by....... it was nice and relaxing........

I am thankful for the time I had tonight with my two favorite ladies in the whole world, my Mom and my sister!

God Help our Nation

Praying for the people of Joplin, Missouri, Today.........
Please keep them in your prayers.......

My heart hurts for them!

The Kindness of Friends......

I am so thankful today for all of the friends God has put in our lives...... What a blessing each of you is! Our friends Jack and Brenda sent the beautiful bouquet above, and we just cried when we received it..... Isn't it pretty?

The Gorgeous Ivy and card came from our Veternarian and his office staff, who have become friends as they cared for Jazz over the past eleven years.......they wept with us on Wednesday, as we said goodby to our baby ......

On Friday evening I was pretty upset, and told the Lord "My heart is broken, Lord, please help me!" Our dear friends Kerri and Robert had invited me, and my sister and brother - in - law out to dinner, and I was not feeling up to going, so Kim and Aaron went, and I ended up going to Wal - mart for some things I needed.... When I returned home, Kerri and Kim had gotten me some gifts and left them, one of which had this scripture emblazoned on the top:

Psalms 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Isn't Jesus Amazing??? I love Him so much!

And I am so thankful for all of the comments that have been left on this blog, they have helped, encouraged and blessed me and my family during this time........ I have some kind, gentle spirited and compassionate blog friends, too, who do not think it's silly for a family to weep and grieve when they lose their dear, cherished animal friend......

I love you all,

Jenni

Goodbye, My Angel......

We are taking the long trip that no one that has ever loved a pet wants to take........

Goodbye my angel.......

Please Pray for Jazz.....

My Angel - dog, my sunshine boy, is in the hospital this morning....... I was up with him all night... as many of you know he has had auto - immune issues for many years now... and is on a prescription food only diet....... we noticed his tummy was swollen last evening, and then he began to pace nervously, and wouldn't lie down or even sit. He would cry and yelp in pain if we touched his tummy..... the Vet thinks he may have pancreatis (an inflammation of his pancreas) and is running tests right now. We will know more later this afternoon.

Please pray for my Baby.....

He's all that and more......

(Click on photo for a closer look if you'd like)

I am having so much fun learning how to make cards...... I am sharing details of one I worked on tonight..... using Watercolor Bouquet decorative papers by K and co. to double matte the gold saying imprinted by a Stampabilities stamp. I also inked over some of the paisley swirls with a Gelly Roll Stardust pen..... I finished it off with a pretty Prima flower.....
And, though I have LOTS to learn! (See that crooked edge? Smiles) Oh it's fun!

I fell in love with the Stamp.... It says "Jesus... peace giver... heart lifter....forgiver.... soul healer...."
He is all that and so much more, my friends! And to think that He loves us..... and even went to Calvary and gave His life for our sins.......It's nothing short of Amazing!
Thanks for letting me share!

Another fancy gift bag....

We had a shower for a lady from our Church today, so I had fun making another "bowdacious" bow for the gift bag.....

What a week we have had! I know one thing without doubt, though.... God is faithful, and He is as close as the mention of His name!

May each of you have a wonderful, happy weekend.....

Happy Birthday to a Dear Friend

(A handmade bow for the birthday gift bag)

I am so thankful for Kerri; a dear Sister - In - The -Lord. Today was her birthday, so of course my sister and I had to do something special for her..... she is the one I often call when I need prayer for a situtation right now this very minute.... and she and her husband always come through! Now those are real true friends........

Happy Birthday Kerri! We love you!

The Lion's Den

Last night I walked into a "Den of Lions......" it was terrifying, it was stressful, and it made my stomache hurt..... but I will say this without doubt: "My God was with me in that lion's den, and He did not leave my side".... I cried out to Him at one point and I felt His strength and His Prescence cover me like warm oil..........soothing, reassuring, comforting, and so Real......

And He stopped the mouths of the lions.

I am thinking of how in the book of Daniel (need to look up the chapter and verse) the king asked " Oh Daniel has thy God delivered thee?"

With Daniel, my answer is a resounding "Yes!"

Praise the Name of Jesus!
And now I want to weep, because my God is so good!

For My Precious Mother...

(A Pretty Handmade Bow and gift bag full of goodies for Mom)

She did not give birth to me, but she is my Mother. She is the one that held me close when I was a little over a day old, and took me into her heart, as if I had been her own flesh and blood......

God Himself picked her to be mine.... The one that would nurture me, love me, and care for me. I have so many memories of her sitting up with me at night when I was ill, for I have athsma and lots of allergies, and was in and out of the hospital entirely too many times! She would sleep in the double bed in my room beside me, staying up late, reading a book or magazine, and keeping her ear open to hear the slightest change in my often labored breathing, making sure I took my medicine, and keeping an eagle eye on my fever.....she took such good care of the child entrusted to her charge!

Another memory that is dear to me, is how that she never allowed my sister or me to be late for Church.... "Church starts at prayer time," she would say, "get moving! You don't need to be late!"

And now Mom has become is my friend, as well.... the one that always laughs at my jokes, encourages me no matter what, and commiserates with my disappointments......

She is my precious Mother, and I love her so!

Happy Mother's Day Mom..... and Happy Mother's Day to every Mother..... You are cherished and you are loved!
